Tai Chi is a great practice to promote movement of the whole body, to reduce stress and to improve general health. Our programmes are all health focused and include insight from both Chinese and scientific perspectives. This gives you the opportunity to really understand how tai chi is helping your body and overall wellbeing.
We provide classes and workshops for groups, individuals, schools and businesses. We currently teach 2 regular classes in 2 locations across Solihull and Birmingham aswell as providing classes online.
BASIC PRINCIPLES
MOVEMENT
Tai chi promotes movement of the body in all three dimensions. It's a whole body practice incorporating movement of the spine, neck, upper + lower limbs. Movement helps to lubricate the joints, keeping them supple, strengthening the muscles and improving balance.
RELAXATION
Deep breathing, relaxation and meditation exercises are part and parcel of Tai Chi. These are all incorporated into our classes. These are all proven strategies to reduce stress and improve overall wellbeing. Combined with movement you can then access a space of active relaxation. When you are relaxed your body is relaxed.
LEARNING
Tai chi requires you to learn new movements and remember them. This means your brain is involved! Learning new skills is one of the best ways to keep your brain active and healthy. The learning process can be challenging, but this is how we progress and improve. This is why we should never stop learning.
